Based : Cumbria and Lancashire

Based in Cumbria, Nicola is a valued member of the N.A.R.E.M.T. while continuing her studies through the Diploma course programme.

Nicola's passion and understanding of today's domestic horses sees her as a trustee of a Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre, as well as successfully competing her own horse in at county level showing and dressage classes.

In Nicola's own words . . .
The muscles of both working and non working horses benefit greatly from the workings of equine massage therapy, producing strong, flexible, toned and innervated muscles, allowing the horse to perform the work asked of him with far greater ease and comfort with less muscular consequences.

Equine massage therapy will benefit horses in all levels of work, from those on box rest to performance horses.

I endeavour to work closely with other professionals such as veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists, ensuring that the horses requirements and needs are both recognised and fully met.
All clients are given detailed records of their horses initial assessment and follow up sessions.

I offer a mobile service covering Lancashire and Cumbria.
Background
I am currently working as a senior staff member at The Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre in Lancashire.

My role involves rehabilitation of thoroughbreds and thoroughbred racehorses. Much of the work involves care of horses with a variety of injuries or conditions which may have ended their racing career.

I have been associated with the Thoroughbred centre for some 13 years as a trustee, a field officer and as a senior staff member.
I have much experience in working with performance horses, both in recovery from injury and those in work. I am also used to working with yougstock as well as horses which may prove difficult to handle.

One of my main loves is Mountain and Moorland showing with my Highland mare, competing both regionally and at county level, having also gained experienced in working with other native breeds.
