Is your horse showing any signs of the
following?
- Bucking
- Napping
- Not tracking up
- Dips his back away from you when you first mount him
- Leans when riding on a corner
- Resisting light contact and hollowing his back and
sticking his nose out
- Stumbling
- Dislikes been tacked up
- Holding the tail to one side
If the answer to any of the above is yes, then this/these
may well be signs of deeper discomfort within the body, this
is just a short list of where equine massage therapy can help.
I am able to offer a fully insured mobile service in North
and East Yorkshire.
On my first visit, I will obtain a pre massage assessment,
this enables me to gain a comprehensive background history
including seeing the horse been trotted up/lunged and if
necessary been ridden and a maintenance massage, followed by
Complimentary stretches and advice. This enables me to provide
a tailor made massage to suit the horses individual needs if a
follow up visit is necessary. The first session will normally
last between 1 - 2 hours. Follow up visits if needed usually
last up to 1 hour. My prices range from £20.00 - £30.00 per
session depending on location.
Although I don’t guarantee instant miracles, my aim is to
offer relief to your horses muscular tension and it’s
corresponding physiological effects which are the cause of
many behavioural problems.
All clients will receive a written case report after each
visit.
All work carried out is within the code of conduct of the
National Association of Registered Equine Massage Therapists
and veterinary permission is required before treatment
commences.

A bit about my self
I have over 20 years experience of owing my own horses, I
currently own three and one of my main enjoyments is Showing
which I have had much success in local and county showing both
in hand and ridden. During this period I have gained lots of
experience with young stock and horses whom have proven
difficult to handle and one of my most recent achievements has
been bringing on an unhandled yearling that is now ready for
his first show season.
