I have always loved and admired horses. From a very young age
I was determined to have my own horse and as I learned more
about them, I knew I also wanted to work with them.
I started my equine career as a weekend helper at my
local stables, where I gained BHS qualifications 1 & 2, and
then moved to Gloucestershire for university. Between
lectures I was a groom for a local dressage yard and after
obtaining my degree, I decided to move to Hereford.
I have been experimenting in various disciplines and do
enjoy the thrill of a three day event but a hack in the
black mountain is also one of my favourite activities!
At the moment, I am working closely with a charity, a
friend of mine and myself founded only this year, based in
Italy. We help neglected and psychologically scarred horses
find happiness and trust again. It’s still early days but
hopefully with the right team and mentality the charity will
continue growing.
I am also the proud owner of two horses, a little welsh
section A called Fred (“The Godfather” of the yard!!), and
an ex point to pointer called Sam, that is in the process of
being retrained for trek (We will get there in the end!).
They are the best of friends and both enjoy weekly massage
and Reiki treatments!
Equine Massage Therapy is becoming increasingly
recognised in the equine world as a non invasive treatment
for all horses and ponies. From competition and racing
horses to riding school horses and happy hackers, Massage
Therapy promotes over all physiological and psychological
well-being.
I always work closely with equine professionals such as
veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists, as well as the
horse’s owner, to ensure the best possible treatment is
carried out for the horse in question.
I am also an Equine Reiki Therapist (I also perform Reiki
for their human friends). I usually combine the therapies
(at no extra cost) as together they deliver the best results
both physically and psychologically.
I cover Herefordshire and surrounding areas with
destinations further afield on request:
The first visit can last up to 2 hours, and any visit after,
up to 1 1/2 hours.
First treatment cost is £30 within 15 miles of Hereford,
visits further afield would incur a charge of 35p per mile
travelled.
Additional treatment cost of £25 within 15 miles of
Hereford, visits further afield would incur a charge of 35p
per mile travelled. |
