I
have had a passion for horses for as long as I can remember
and I am lucky to be the proud owner of two of these
magnificent animals for which I ride for both pleasure and
Riding Club Activities.
I
started my studies with Equine Holistic Therapies, as I own
a mare who has an exceptionally sensitive nature. In the
past I had engaged a practitioner to work with her, but
because of her temperament it was a negative experience for
all concerned. I then decided to study the art of massage
myself.
During my studies, I unleashed a thirst for learning about
how massage could really benefit horses both psychologically
and physically and I discovered that I had a real passion
for this practice.
I
also discovered that us as riders/owners should take more
responsibility for our own posture, aches and pains as quite
often these are transferred onto our horses.
For this reason I have now also gained VTCT Level 3 in Human
Body Massage and I aim to continue my studies for a further
two years to learn the art of Human Sports and Remedial
massage.
